The Brayford Medical Practice is joining many other practices around the UK to become a more paperless practice, we are going to be setting up an ‘Electronic Prescription Service‘ EPS for all our patients in an attempt to save the NHS millions of pounds each year.

This new format would mean that you would no longer get a print out prescription and that your medication will go directly to a pharmacy that you nominate, this will enable to save time by no longer needing to visit your doctors practice to collect the print-out and then need to go to the pharmacy to collect the medication.

We have a computerised repeat prescription service. Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription.

From time to time we will ask you to see your doctor to review your medication. We do this to monitor your illness and medication.

You can order a repeat prescription by:

  • clicking this link to complete prescription request form

  • phoning the surgery and leaving a message on the repeat answering machine service.

  • dropping your prescription slip into the surgery when the reception is open.

  • by post (enclosing a SAE).

  • you can also order via the internet by registering for our SystmOnline.  See box on right hand side.

  • by emailing your request to : LIWCCG.mailbrayfordmedicalpractice@nhs.net  Please give the exact drug names when ordering.
